Theodora (Teddie) Rizk RNC, MSN
Teddie Rizk is a clinical nurse specialist who has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings for the past 30 years. She has an extensive background in Gestalt, Jungian and cognitive behavioral approaches. She previously served as associate professor of nursing at Lorain Community College, nurse manager of Huron Hospital's psychiatric unit and the coordinator of Huron Hospital's crisis line. She worked as a counselor with veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) at the Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 11 years and as a military family life consultant with active duty military personnel and their families in the United States and at overseas installations. She earned her bachelor's degree (cum laude) at Niagara University, her MEd at State University of New York Buffalo and her MSN at Case Western University. She was a founding member of the Cuyahoga County Critical Incident Stress Management Team and the Jung Education Center of Cleveland. Her specialty areas include helping adults, families and groups who are dealing with depression, anxiety disorders, and chronic or acute medical issues, as well as victims of and first responders to traumatic events.
