Todd Newman LISW
Todd Newman is a practicing therapist with 13+ years of experience in a multitude of settings like private practice, community mental health and public health. Todd began his career after earning the degree(s) of Associate of Applied Science (2005) and Bachelor of Social Work (2007) from The University of Akron. He then completed an Advanced Standing Master of Social Work degree in 2008. Apart from his academic career that ended in 2008, he has amassed knowledge and expertise during his career in the field of mental health services. For example, he has received extensive training in treating psychosis, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing for substance abuse disorders and complex presentations like Autism and developmental disabilities. Other clinical interests include human development/diversity, critical life events and life transitions. He is interested in treating issues/disorders of childhood through adulthood, while treating individual, marital/couple and familial populations.
