Sharon Beyer LMFT, LCADC-S
Believing in the importance of the relationship between client and therapist, I strive to help people feel comfortable and cared for as we work to make changes, help alleviate problems, and reach new goals and potential. I feel honored to be a part of the journey toward healing. I have worked with individuals, couples and families dealing with all types of life issues.
I specialize in working through trauma of all types, both big and small. I treat symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief, and loss. I work with substance abuse issues and help teach new skills to work through these challenges. I am a client centered therapist and believe that the relationship between client and therapist is paramount. We work at facing the challenges that each individual is dealing with and to create change in a safe and accepting environment.
I am both a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Drug Abuse Counselor and Supervisor. I graduated from National University with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy through the EMDR International Association.
