Nicholette Leanza possesses several years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of treatment settings. Her specializations encompass mood and anxiety disorders as well as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and LGBTQ services. Her therapeutic perspectives include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and neuro-counseling. She is faculty at John Carroll University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and an award-winning university instructor with several online and print publications regarding psychological health and well-being. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical counseling from the University of Akron.
