Michele Norman PMHNP-BC
Michele Norman earned her Master’s in Nursing and Master’s of Science in Nursing degrees from Case Western Reserve University. Upon graduation, she was board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and is currently a member of American Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Association and American Nurse Association. She has been a psychiatric nurse practitioner for a year and a half and her clinical practice has been based primarily in outpatient community settings, where she sees patients ranging in age from 8 to well into their 90s. Michele spent the previous 20 years as a college professor at multiple local colleges and universities, where she taught numerous courses emphasizing interpersonal communication and conflict management skills, and has collaborated on the development of several training manuals to assist adolescents and at-risk populations develop techniques and skills to help them move beyond difficult periods in their lives where they feel confused or stuck. Her specializations include PTSD and other trauma related illness, depression, anxiety and adjustment/transition issues.
