Maria D'Amico LPC
Maria D’Amico, holds a dual master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Ursuline College. She has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with ADHD, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and children and adolescents on the autistic spectrum. She also holds a bachelor of arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Notre Dame College of Ohio, and began her career teaching preschool and first grade in a private setting. Her observation and realization of how mental health directly affects academics lead Ms. D’Amico down the path to becoming a therapist. She believes in a positive, holistic approach to therapy that honors the individual, and encourages healing and personal growth in a gentle and respectful manner. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is essential for progress in therapy. A variety of counseling techniques are utilized during the therapeutic process, along with yogic breathing and mediation practices that help to inspire transformation.
