Krystal Drake, PhD Dr. Krystal Drake is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with individuals across the life span. She received her MA and PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Cincinnati and BS in psychology from Howard University. Throughout her training and career, she has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient physical rehabilitation centers, hospitals, community mental health, college counseling center, youth residential treatment facilities, and long-term care facilities. For the last several years Dr. Drake has worked primarily with adults residing in nursing homes and assisted living facilities to address concerns related to aging, coping with acute/chronic health conditions, and maintaining a sense of mental wellness. Her therapeutic approach is client-centered in its foundation, but she utilizes various treatment modalities based on the needs and fit of the individual client. She has also received advanced training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for chronic pain. Dr. Drake specializes in treating issues such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, self-esteem issues, women’s concerns, and managing pain and chronic medical conditions. She provides individual psychotherapy to ages 12 and up.
