Jeanette Biermann PhD
Dr. Biermann earned her doctoral degree in counseling psychology at the University of Akron and her undergraduate degree was awarded by Valparaiso University in mathematics. She has provided psychological services in hospitals, long term care, primary care and private practice settings. Before training to become a psychologist, she worked in corporate and government settings for more than 25 years. She provides therapy to adult individuals and couples, and also family therapy for adults facing aging parent issues and issues left over from childhood. Therapy for couples is based on the concepts of Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Dr. Biermann is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Ohio Psychological Association, and has given presentations to conferences of both those organizations as well as many other audiences. She has published several research papers and a book chapter for professionals.
