James Minikowski IMFT-S
James Minikowski has more than 12 years experience providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults. He previously worked in private practice and partial hospitalization programs in Southeastern Connecticut, serving adolescents and adults with mental health issues. He has participated in more than a dozen specialized training conferences in adolescent mental health at master therapist workshops conducted with the University of Connecticut Medical School as well as other programs. He has presented extensively on healthy family communication both in Connecticut and Northeast Ohio. He earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut and his master's degree in marriage and family therapy from St. Joseph's College. His specialty interests include working with adolescents, young adults and young families; oppositional behavior issues; bipolar disorder; men's issues; and LGBTQI issues. He has special expertise in dealing with behavioral issues of adolescent males ages 11 to 19.
