Carol Leslie has extensive behavioral health care experience in the United Kingdom, Bermuda and the United States. Occupational therapy manager for 20 years in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Psychiatry, she provided inpatient behavioral health care to children, adolescents, adults and the elderly, specialized in outpatient coaching for adults and adolescents with Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She also worked with the consultation liaison section to create a successful bedside activity-based "coping skills" program for medical/surgical patients, especially those with Crohn's and IBS. She developed sober living skills for the Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Center at the Cleveland Clinic, engaging patients in self-care, time management, money management, medication management, sober leisure, community resources, assertiveness training, stress management, relaxation training, resume training, job interview skills and anger management. She uses sensory integration with children, adolescents and young adults with ADHD as enhancers to attention, concentration, self-calming and social coping. She is also an advanced clinical hypnotherapist and Reiki practitioner.
