Beverly Leonard LMHC
Beverly Leonard is a licensed mental health counselor with over 20 years of experience in outpatient, partial hospitalization, and inpatient settings. Most recently, Beverly has been the Assistant Regional Director of an EAP organization, providing counseling for first responders, educators, medical providers, and other therapists. She received her MS in Counseling and Counselor Education through Indiana University in Bloomington. She has a BA in Psychology from Purdue University, with specialized focus on Sociology and Women’s Studies. She completed post-masters work through Johns Hopkins University. Beverly has specialized training and experience in the areas of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, substance use disorders, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and work-life conflicts. She provides trauma-informed care to adults and adolescents. Beverly takes an eclectic and collaborative approach that is best suited to the individual client’s needs, strengths, and challenges. Beverly’s primary approaches are Interpersonal Therapy, ACT, DBT, CBT, CBT-I, CBT-TF, Humanistic Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Mindfulness Skills.
