Ashlyn Douthitt LMFT
Ashlyn N. Douthitt is a licensed marriage and family therapist who works with clients and their families to identify and lift constraints that keep them stuck in unhealthy ways of being. She earned her bachelor’s in psychology and family studies from Miami University and her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Northwestern University. She has over 6 years of experience working with individuals, couples, children, adolescents and families in home and community based settings. Her approach to therapy is integrative in nature, incorporating several schools of therapy and tailoring interventions to meet each client’s unique needs. Her specialty areas of treatment include trauma, non-suicidal self-injury, parent-child relational issues, foster care, perfectionism and self-esteem. She tries to create a safe space for clients to explore and heal from their past while building their resiliency and hope for their future. She is also a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
