Allison Whitmyer LISW-S
Allison Whitmyer holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Bowling Green State University, where she graduated summa cum laude as part of the University Honors Program, and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Cincinnati, where she was part of the Advanced Standing Program focusing on mental health. She has a wide variety of experience in the mental health field, working with individuals from ages 2 to 64 years, including those with co-occurring mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. Her specialties include Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), which addresses behavioral issues for young children, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), which addresses trauma-related symptoms for children and adolescents. She has experience helping individuals and families with numerous concerns, including anxiety, depression, reactions to trauma and life changes, chronic medical issues and relationship difficulties.
